I know there's a default cause it can encourage players to have multiple accounts, to avoid that it must put some verifications as different IP, different mail, and at least your godchild reach a definited level (5 for example) to be consider as a real "addict" player ...
To encourage this system, the reward must be more attractive than coins or shards, it could be a special race that you can only have after you have sponsored 5 or 10 "goldchild" ...

But that will require a system that checks for identical IP addresses for all of the "godchildren" (not that much work I believe) as well as creating many special races (quite a bit more work I believe), so I don't know if Lopdo would take on this challenge.

This does remind me of a post about 2-3 months ago where it was suggested that existing races get upgraded and turned into a better version of themselves (Angels-->Archangels, Pirates--->Buccaneers, etc.). This way, Lopdo can do much more work with the same race without changing the original icon, and, perhaps, implementing bocboc's idea.

I suggest adding it an an option called Victory Matches - cost = 1 coin per player to join. You could use this for clan vs clan matchups or just you against someone else. The rest of this post is a cut and paste from a prior idea by techgump:

Betting with Shards and Coin

by techgump » Fri Oct 26, 2012 8:50 pm

It would be really sweet for betting to happen before games begin. So I can offer a win, or at least to beat, one or more players, and back that with shards or coin bet. The opponents can chose to accept or decline bet to take my shards (or pay them) upon winning or losing the bet.

Possible Bets:
Winning the Game
Beating the Player

That offer can be sent to one or more players in the game lobby. Ther offer can be accepted or declined. If accepted, the offer is retracted if the player leaves the lobby before game start. Offers cannot be accepted if player does not have the coin or shard to back bet.
This way, I can tell players to put their money where their mouth is.

Problem is, could this be used in ill ways. I believe so.

This is an incredible idea! It could indeed motivate players to buy warcoins and add more excitement and competitiveness to the whole game! :P

How about Non-Rated Games where it would not impact your rating plus up to 4 players could draw?

This would allow a 4 vs 4 clan match and the winning (and losing) team would not lower in rating - it would remain unchanged.

Cost = 1 coin to join (per player).

At the end of an 8 player map - If all 4 of your team was left - all 4 could then draw.

***************************************************************************

Name of Game Option = "TEAM PLAY (Non-Rated)"

Cost = 1 coin per player to join (per map)

Impact = No players rating is changed as a result of the game

Added Feature = Draw is available as soon as 4 or less players are left
In Vortex Wars: 50% of the game is luck. 50% is skill. The other 50% is math.

Each game would give Lopdo almost enough money to buy a gumball. ;)

Lol, this.

Plus, I don't think that this feature will have that much of a userbase, since most casual players don't care much about their ratings (let alone paying with coins to keep their rating unchanged). Also, wouldn't the winning team still like a reward for it's hard toil? (well, there still remains shards and exp).

The best thing I see here is the 4-way draw option. Could possibly draw in a few people (no pun intended).

Could you pay for a race to be made
like 500 coins, and you would have to vote (the over power races would not go to the vote and a fee of 100 coins would be added)
-Damon, sure as hell doesn't look like it

You too lucky

If I could order pizza while playing maybe. And don't say it's stupid; I heard with Everquest II it worked. A good idea to launch Lopdo's soda brand.
The guards gaze at you:"Prepare yourselves" If you get the game that is from you are awesome.
