With Poker however anyone can play it due to the much lower skill cap and games of it last much shorter so it's ideal for large companies to invest money into it to make money out of it. But with chess there is very little uncertainity and it is purely skill based so it is much harder to make dissilusioning profits from it; as a result there is less investment by companies into it and there are far less chess players than poker players (I'm a chess player but we simply rent out a pub hall once a week whilst there are whole casinos dedicated to poker)

The game Kingdom Rush, which I've mentioned above, is at least that old. In the end, a game's popularity is in direct correlation with the amount of development resources being put into it.
I totally agree and even more about your comment with the amount of development resources being put into it... I've already commented that in a less diplomatic way.

This needs to go to live chat... at least a version.
Can you imagine my own little subset of the forums though? We'd throw the bad ones into it.

A very interesting observation, and I fully agree with it.

This is starting to look a little megalomaniac!

If you mean they second part, I was referring to the idea of some chat rooms going live (as mentioned in feature requests. If you were referring to the first part, that will help is to recruit, trim the stupidity of noobs a bit, and most importantly, it will give calle something to do.
