The Grass Roots are an American rock band that charted frequently between 1966 and 1975. It was originally the creation of Lou Adler and songwriting duo P. F. Sloan and Steve Barri. In their career, they achieved two gold albums, one gold single and charted singles a total of 21 times. Among their charting singles, they achieved Top 10 three times, Top 20 three times and Top 40 eight times. They have sold over twenty million records worldwide.
"I'd Wait a Million Years" charted 15 on the U.S. billboards in 1969. They had a lot of hits that I like but this probably is my favorite.

Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas - Bad to me

Billy J. Kramer (born William Howard Ashton, 19 August 1943 in Bootle, Lancashire, England) is a pop singer. In the 1960s he was managed by Brian Epstein, who also managed the Beatles and he recorded several original Lennon and McCartney compositions. With record producer George Martin, the song "Do You Want to Know a Secret?" was a number two UK Singles Chart hit in 1963 and was backed by another tune otherwise unreleased by the Beatles, "I'll Be on My Way". After this impressive breakthrough another Lennon–McCartney pairing, "Bad to Me" c/w "I Call Your Name", reached number one. It sold over one million copies and was awarded a gold disc. "I'll Keep You Satisfied" ended the year with a respectable number four placing.
