Well, I was disappointed, as you might expect, and ended up getting a new, cheaper set. Well, today as I was looking through the stuff in my workspace, I found the old headphones and was about to finally throw them away when I noticed that the little piece on the cord that controls the volume had been turned to zero.
Pro: I now have an awesome set of headphones.
Con: I'm an idiot.
Don't feel too bad, I had a similar incident.
My headphones have a mic on them and there is a button thing on the cord that turns the mic on and off and activates/deactivates a light corresponding with the on/off.
Anyways, I was recording myself playing my guitar and when I got up to go get a drink and then returned my mic was no longer working. I spent 2 hours troubleshooting which included calling the company towards the end of those two hours... after 15 minutes with them the helppeople asked if the mute button was on.. it was.
