What to buy first ? Upgrades or Race ?

Postby emo » Tue Aug 19, 2014 7:41 pm

Hey guys.

My question is very simple: What should we buy first, the Upgrades or a decent race ?

Get at least the first upgrade before anything else, then get a race that works for you if you want. And then, of course, back to upgrades. :)

i would say get the first 2 as races dont do much in games, then get a decent race, usally spawn is the most important for most games
-Damon, sure as hell doesn't look like it

I would say that you should match it up to your tastes. If you prefer playing small maps such as Hexagon Rush over Random XXL then you can buy Undead or somewhat like that. But if you actually plan on winning Random XXL then go for the upgrades first. This is my opinion but the decision is all on you
I have nothing to say.

For one more opinion, I agree with Autumnwolf17. This is just my opinion but:

1) 1st upgrade
2) One good race
3) Remaining upgrades
In Vortex Wars: 50% of the game is luck. 50% is skill. The other 50% is math.

The upgrades are the single most important purchase. Race bonuses are negligible with the exception of tannenbaums. I'd suggest getting all 4 upgrades first, or the first 2 and then tannenbaums and then the rest.

The 4th and maybe the 3rd upgrades aren't as important as getting specialized races.
I always read read as read first before I read read as read instead.

I would suggest getting snowflakes as a counter.
