Bluethorn: Believe me, I would love to be your teammate, but I wasn't really thinking when I joked about the team name. I would definitely say yes, but right now this is scheduled to start on the 18th, and I'm leaving on a business trip on Sunday.

If it were sometime in the middle, I could probably play one round and then come back for another when I was back, since the rounds probably won't go that fast, but I'll be largely unavailable and I don't want to risk holding you or the other team up if I can't match your timing.

Best of luck to you though, maybe we can be a team in the future? (possibly the second round of this if it happens)
I honestly don't remember why I decided to type everything in blue.

No worries, I fully understand the situation you are in. Plus I wouldn't like you having yet another thing to worry about during your business trip. My condolences on you missing out on the event and again, don't worry about it. See you when you get back.
I have nothing to say.

The bracket is out! Seeds were randomized so there is no favoritism going on.

7 Days to finish your matches everyone!

The Bracket
Meet me (GivinUDaHimelik, Himelik, OneNOnlyHimelik, NoSoliciting) in-game to ask about joining my clan the Killer Mantids. We're always looking for skilled, active players.

All right Exploding Rubber Duckies where are you?
In Vortex Wars: 50% of the game is luck. 50% is skill. The other 50% is math.

Well, I have a bit of time opened up now, so I'm taking that time to propose a game for the spectators. If you're an American, you should remember the basketball bracket challenge. So here's the game. If you're not one of the sixteen people involved in this and you want a little something to do anyway, make a bet with me on the results.

If you want to, send a PM to yourself with your bets so that we can have a time stamp and verify the predictions were made beforehand, as well as avoid influencing the players or each other in any way. When it's all over, you can see how well you did, and you have the screenshot to brag to everyone that you're a psychic.

And just because it's a game, feel free to add your own rules. If you're wrong one round, feel free to make a second card to predict the last two rounds. Personally, I added one extra "most likely alternative" result in case a round I had trouble deciding goes the other way. But I feel good about my card. So yeah, game on!

Spoiler: show
And don't forget the third place match!
