Turn 1: 2 lands, 1 spawn. VS 1 land, 1 spawn
Turn 2: 4 lands, 2 spawn. VS 2 land, 2 spawn
Turn 3: 8 lands, 4 spawn. VS 4 land, 4 spawn
It balances out and is even. The only advantage is that you get to claim more land early on.
