armies stock limit identifier

Premium account players have a cool golden box around their names so we all know that they get double experience points, players who have bought races with bonuses are equally identified by their race logo. Why then players with an expanded army storage are not equally treated? I am not complaining about those players using an unfair advantage, or cheating in any way. Such a feature is available in the store and open to anyone who wishes to obtain it. I just think that everyplayer should have the capability of spotting the potential of his oponements before deciding to play against them or not.

When we see a high rank player on the board we know we better wacth out for him, he is likelly to be a tough adversary; if we see an angel or insectoid, we also take it in consideration to plan our strategies; on the other hand these other type of players with extra storage are stealthy, making it impossible for oponements to plan in advance how to fight them, or allowing them to choose not to fight them at all, should they think that advantage unfair or simply too steep to overcame. Many players are likelly to believe they have been cheated after being defeated by such a player, and that is not good for the game.

There go my two cents on the matter, what do you think about it?

I agree with this. Out of those three possibilities that are shown (high rank, premium, special races) barely any of them give close to the advantage that troop upgrades do.

I'm on the other side.

1. For those with Premium accounts, they can as it stands now turn off the Yellow band and look normal, even tho they are premium.
2. Lopdo needs to make money on this to justify his work and continued improvements. This means that paid members should be catered to.. not the other way around. So, as far as I am concerned, the more concealed you can make paid stuff to look normal, the better. Otherwise, free-riding users will just boot paid members (as there are less paid members), and paid members will feel like the money was not worth it, hence Lopdo does not make more money because people stop buying stuff, and the game does not get improved as much as it could.

For the longevity and improvement of the game, I say let the paying guys have the advantages with secrecy as much as possible. Otherwise, it just is not worth it for anyone to pay. To prove my case, I have seen too many countless times where paid users of races get booted because of the advantage. I do it myself for many of the games I host. This of course does not help the paid user justify his purchase, and likely will not prompt him to spend more on other upgrades.

My opinion, overall, this idea just a bad way to go.

I agree.

I haven't played against an opponent with a higher limit yet (I don't play that much), but I am sure that if I was in game with someone with a higher cap and all of a sudden they got to attack 2 or 3 more territories than me and still have 8's everywhere, I would be really POed. I think that we should get there to be someway to recognize that they have the higher cap, and if a player still wants to verse them than they should go for it.
This too shall pass.

And that is exactly my point. People that don't pay get upset at those who do. Hence paying members need to have the appearance of non-paid, otherwise, the paid members, the ones that are supporting the game dev, are also the ones hated by the popular majority free-loaders.

I agree with tech. Make it able to be displayed, but give us the option to hide it. I personally wouldn't mind the extra bling on my username. :)

Actually, I think Lopdo's shards solution (implemented today) is excellent. Far beyond my thinking in regards to a working solution. This solves it all in my opinion. Very clever.

Well, assuming the level is high enough. You can generally deduce what the person has. I think that plays into the strategy concept of the game. :D
