I actually came up with this idea q long time ago: It is sort of like and hour glass >< but one side is reversed to look like this >> or <<

this map would probably be best when doing matches with 2 or 3 people. though.

You may also want to make maps in the shape of common day objects, animals, or famous people/figures (I am not sure how detailed you can get with map making so far).

I guess the hourglass is better than << or >>, but I came up with the idea before you came out with the hourglass map so I thought I might as well share it.

I was thinking about daily objects, but problem with is that they need to looks good and have some other strategic properties so they will make good map, not just lame image. Resolution is not very good (as you can see on existing maps) so we can't do a lot, and fact that basic block is hexagon and not square complicate things even more :)

What about a teapot or mug? That sounds good. It would be sort of like the comedian map.

P.S. I'll probably make the >> map myself when the editor comes out.

How about a nice and simple apple as a map?

How about a giant, single, circle tile surrounded by just one layer of smaller tiles. That makes it so that whoever controls the center is constantly subject to attack, yet can attack anyone. It also prevents someone from blocking off a map, requiring more strategy.

A big circular map, about 40 or 50 tiles total, with nothing special about it other than being a circle filled with tiles. That could do.

Wouldn't be too stalemate prone, first turn advantage wouldn't be that huge.
