1. Introduction:
It is common knowledge and logic that there are rules to follow on a website/game such as Vortex Wars. Here is our general game and forum rules that are to be complied to by all members. Non-compliance to the ruled below, or terms above, may result in a warning issued to you, a temporarily ban/suspension of your account(s), and/or a permanent ban/suspension of your accounts(s). The rules apply to both the game (vortexwars.com), and the forum (vortexwars.com/forum).
First Offense - A first offense refers to the first strike/warning on your account. The term "warning" on the Vortex Wars Ban Chart is a reference to your first strike/warning only. Generally a warning will be issued to you first, on your first offense, before a ban/suspension occurs, although this is at the moderators/administrators discretion which will vary depending on the perceived severity.
Verbal Warning - This is statement by a moderator, telling you to cease the activity that he or she finds inappropriate, and against the rules.
Official Warning - This is a tool for moderators to log a warning down officially, and will be held on record with your name.
Kick - This is a tool for moderators to remove you from a game, or from chat, should you continue breaking the rules after the official warning.
Ban - Self explanatory. This allows a mod to stop access to your account for a set period of days, as per the rule book.
Permanent Ban - This removes access to your account, unless an appeal is successful against the ban.
IP match - This is a tool that allows moderators to see if a single IP address is being used for multiple accounts. This will only flag up an issue when it is in an in-game situation, but can not be used as sole evidence that accounts are being controlled by a single person.
2. Vortex Wars Accounts:
Members are only permitted to log in with ONE single Vortex Wars account at a time.
Accounts containing or posting any foul language, anything deemed racist, discriminating, harmful, threatening, or inappropriate in nature will be permanently banned.
Accounts are held under the responsibility of the individual creator of the account. If an account is banned, reversals will not take place unless the ban was done unnecessarily, if decided upon by the owner of the site and game.
3. Language & Behavior:
Swearing/Profanity should be kept limited. Please respect other people who also use the website.
Pornographic images is not permitted.
Using racist remarks, slurs, and displaying discriminating, harmful, or threatening behavior (including blackmailing or bribery) toward members and staff is cyber bullying. Your accounts on Vortex Wars and associated forum may be immediately terminated.
Bribing and blackmail is not permitted.
Hacking, or even threatening to hack, is not permitted.
Spamming and advertising is not permitted. Triple posting or higher is considered spamming.
Harassing/Trolling users is not permitted.
Messages in *ALL CAPS* are not permitted.
Sexism/Sexual harassment is not permitted.
Impersonating is not permitted.
Baiting individuals into arguments on a sensitive subject (religion, politics, and moral issues) may be considered harassment.
Abusive Language is not permitted.
Baiting and/or inciting other people into breaking the rules is considered ill mannered at best, and is not permitted.
Cheating in any form is not permitted. This includes, but is not limited to, multi-logging, secret allies, gaming the point system, hacking, or any other methods of cheating that may arise which taint the ethical play of the game.
Not all offenses are listed here. Offenses will include anything that taints the ethical game-play and conduct on associated sites. A first offense may result in a warning, or a ban, depending on the severity. Any secondary offense(s) will result in an immediate and possibly permanent ban/suspension. For accusations of members and staff, proof is advised and may be required for any action(s) to be placed. Discretion of moderators/administrators will be used to determine the accused's penalty, if any is warranted. Abuse and Corruption will not happen on Vortex Wars. As staff can be hired, you can also be fired, if you do not abide to the rules. Moderators are required to be professional, and give a good outcome to the site and game. They are monitored, and if they are seen to be acting in a manner that goes against the rule book, mod etiquette, or game ethics, an inquiry will begin.

- 14.) Cheating in any form is not permitted. This includes, but is not limited to, multi-logging, secret allies, gaming the point system, hacking, or whatever other methods of cheating that may arise which taint the ethical play of the game.
- 15.) Poll names and topic names on the forum which are deemed offensive may result in banishment.
Not all offenses are listed here. Offenses will include anything that taints the ethical game-play and conduct on associated sites. A first offense may result in a warning, or a ban, depending on the severity. Any secondary offense(s) will result in an immediate and possibly permanent ban/suspension. For accusations of members and staff, proof is advised and may be required for any action(s) to be placed. Discretion of the moderators / administrators will be used to determine the accused's penalty, if any, is warranted. Submitting a screenshot is a good way to prove your accusation. Fake screenshots edited by Photoshop, Gimp or any other product are easy to figure out. Posting fake screenshots about someone will leave you sanctioned. Screen-shotting use ''ALT+Printscreen'', paste in paint and upload to http://www.imageshack.us is always a good way to do it. Section D. Staff:
Abuse and corruption will not happen on VortexWars. As staff can be hired, they can also be fired, if they do not abide by the rules. Moderators are required to be professional, and give a good outcome to the site and the game. They are monitored, and if they are seen to be acting in a manner that goes against the rule book, mod etiquette, or game ethics, an inquiry will begin.
