Yeah, what the title says so they have more storage but encourage you to buy upgrades:

No upgrades: +5
1: +10
2: +15
3: +20
4: +25

Yeah, still unrealistic, but just +5 is unrealistic anyway

that or a 10% spawn boost as well as just +5

85? you do mean you can only store 85? you get 60 max each turn as with upgrades, still, this race is underpowered, 85 in store aint much help in 99% of games, the game should usally be over by the time you store, if you could store 100 it would be better and maybe more people may use them.
