Rematch.

Postby Fangfallen » Wed Jul 24, 2013 10:47 pm

I propose an addition to the game, the option of a rematch.

When a match is completed the host may press rematch (located above or below leave game) when the host does this each player in the match receives an invite popup. If they click accept they automatically join the rematch. The rematch would be the same setup as the first match. The rematch would be a locked match which means only players from the previous match could play.if a player denies the rematch or leaves the game too early to even get the rematch popup then the invitation is given randomly to a spectator. In the case that no one joins the rematch the host may untoggle the lock and then the game is unlocked and continues as normal.

I voted yes. I like the rematch option, but not the part about if someone declines - it goes to a random spectator.

Whoever agrees to rematch should automatically appear in the game map lobby - same map, settings, number of player slots, everything.

If one or more players does not agree - then the host is still in charge and can start the map with whoever did sign up or wait for more players, including kicking anyone they don't want in.
In Vortex Wars: 50% of the game is luck. 50% is skill. The other 50% is math.

I wasn't sure about the spectator idea, but I thought someone'd like it.

Yes if you accept rematch you'd auto join, and everything'd be the same.
It remains locked to the uninvited until the host unlocks it though.

I like the system in ShellShock Live where it automatically does a rematch every time, and then people just leave if they don't want to be in it, and if they leave then the spots are open as a normal game.

I quite liked that, but I felt that it made people who were playing have more disconnected partners.
The simple, the best.
