New Race: Tigers

Postby royalblue » Tue Dec 18, 2012 3:53 am

Name: Tigers

Description: Careful feline predators and masterful hunters

Bonus: +1% Attack boost for each consecutive fight in a turn beginning at the tenth attack made and capping at +15%.

Cost: 3000

(Please comment for clarification and adjustment, I realize that wasn't elegantly phrased)
I honestly don't remember why I decided to type everything in blue.

Name: Tigers

Description: Careful feline predators and masterful hunters

Bonus: Sleeps for the first 20 hours of each map unless disturbed. They get no turn, troops, or bonus until someone attacks them.

Strategy to defeat tigers, since they are always sleeping until attacked: Just make sure that you attack them with a larger number the first time you hit them. They are sleeping, so any attack with a 2 or higher kills them.

Cost: 3000
In Vortex Wars: 50% of the game is luck. 50% is skill. The other 50% is math.

In the way it's been currently stated, I think it would be underpowered; I see there's a 10 battle minimum, but that could make it a really good race (HC or on a large map) or a bad race (Att or on a small map) depending on the selection settings, and I don't feel using that to balance it would be best. Instead, I would propose that:

Bonus: +1% Attack boost for each consecutive fight in a turn, capping at +10%

Also, I have an additional idea that could be interesting: making the race bonus:

Bonus: +1% Attack boost and 1% spawn boost for each consecutive fight in a turn, capping at +10% Attack and 10% Spawn.

Now, I realize that spawn ''should'' be at 2%, but I feel that would be overpowered. I think that could be a fun idea too.
The simple, the best.

The point is, they would have increasing attack power for every attack you made.

There could also be a companion race that got stronger defense the more it was attacked in a turn. Maybe bears?

No not lions, that'd be like adding pandas (If we already had tigers.)

Name the defensive version the "Priests"
