Map Editor: Test Map

After I've made my first map I've noticed it has way to small regions. They were hardly visible under race markers. It would be fine if you could turn on "Real Gameplay View" as a previev how it would look like. It could come in 2 types:
Empty Map: only neutral regions without armies
Full Map: Every region taken by one of X players

Idealy it would be cool if you could test it by playing X "players" on your own offline. Without any AI!

The first part might solve "broken maps" problem as authors could notice it earlier.
The second part would solve "unplayable" or "boring" maps cause authors could see on their own skin how boring it is...
Also any of those options would allow me to take perfect screenshoots for my upcomming tutorials! <3

hmm... showing race logos is interesting idea, I might do that. But that second suggestion looks too complicated :)

you are working on tutorials? I plan to do real interactive tutorial directly into the game and I don't want you to spend your time in vain :)

Don't worry. I'm doing tactics tutorial, not basics. Like where you should place your first region in conquer, what are the most important things while choosing this region, what you should base your first moves on depending on game mode and distribution mode, where not to place units, etc.

alright, cool :)

you can use normal editor and play with photoshop, it should be easy to change colors of different region. It might not look 100% accurate, but it might do the trick

Thats what I'm trying to do right now but I'm kind of lazy person. I'm thinking about using User Made Map (so i can re-play it) and 2 dummy accounts to "set up" situations for screens :p

(edit: cause of this "turorials" extent I'm wondering if i would not create special webpage for it rather than one forum thread )

checking...
