Surrender button should be red during the time when you lose xp for surrendering so people know when it's safe.

A small change but I would like to see that might even discourage surrender in general

hmm... or I could just rename it to quit and back to surrender after 3 rounds are over

Okay, as long as there's a difference you can see...

Maybe you add some time penalty for surrender that some1 would wait i.e. 5 min to join another game.

or, even better PREVENT THEM FROM SURRENDERING(for about 10 turns)!!!!!! I just played a games where 2 people quit and alowed 1 person totake over 42 territories, while I was bussy fighting off other invaders.

I agree that is does suck when people surrender early. This usually will dictate the game, swaying towards who is closest to the blank spots. I think one way to minimize the effects, as mentioned before by another poster, is to make the territories units increase each turn, as if the player was still there... At least it would not be so easy to take over turn after turn.

you can't prevent them from surrendering, they can just refresh page

but you can make it not worth to surrender even more then its now , unable to start/join new game when u surrender before i.e. 20 round could help

It's VERY common, at least with the game setup I play in, for people to be essentially dead before round 20
