I was just looking at the pricing lists for The Games Platform Company; I'm surprised VW2 falls under the $500 range, although I'm not even sure what half that stuff means. Check it out: http://gamesplatform.co/pricing.htm

I'm tempted to buy it. I'll definitely buy the forums if that's an option.

I am not revealing anything about anyone else, but would be kind of nice to get some closure on a few alts if anyone wants to reveal themselves.

I went to the hosting site and it has this message:

"We have sold this service to The Games Platform Company. Your games will automatically be transferred over and the Yahoo Games Backend Services will cease on or about May 9, 2016. Please visit our FAQ for more information, or email [email protected] if you have specific questions. "

From what you're saying, it sounds like the game will die around May 9th. At least we have a more accurate doomsday date.

I appreciate Lopdo taking the time to reply to my PM. I messaged him yesterday about the pricing plan and included the link. He noted several categories where it does not fit into anything under the $500 a month plan. Unfortunately it is not feasible to keep it going at $6,000 a year.

VortexWars will not be shut down on May 9th! Lopdo has transferred the game to me, and I will keep it up and running. I have also started work on the HTML5
client. However, Lopdo will manage the forum and website for now. After talking with the new owners of Player.io (the backend service used in VW), the
