I have left Vortex Wars

Talk about anything that comes in your mind and isn't related to Vortex Wars

Okay, I clearly brought back some old threads today.

Based on my "exit plan", I wanted one last chance to comment on several topics. I am fairly certain that unless something comes up, I am now done with "creating" new stuff or bringing back the past. Tomorrow I exit Vortex Guardians and it is my goal to have a clear last week. So, after I leave VG tomorrow, I plan to just play the game and comment only on unread threads.

Thanks for allowing me some latitude on bringing back some old stuff one last time!

Today I left Vortex Guardians.

Under various accounts, I am able to say that (with the exception now of Vortex Ranger's) I was a part of every active clan.

Vortex Wars, including the forum and clans, has very much been a part of my life for the last two years. I am glad to have been in all of the currently active clans. I think that forum clans are an important part of this community and something that helps to keep players around strengthening the game.

I encourage new players to check out the forum and clans.

I was ThatsMyBoy. You were my clan leader when we lost to and were owned by Military Soldiers!

Believe whatever you like. ThatsMyBoy did not have a clan - it was lost. You were the Clan Leader. The entire clan was within Military Soldiers for 24 hours.

ThatsMyBoy wrote:Clan War - Sunday September 1, 2013.

EVERYTHING IS AT RISK - The loser will LOSE THEIR CLAN - YOU WILL BE OWNED BY THE OTHER CLAN.

Terms:

On Sunday, September 1, 2013 - It is all out war - CLAN vs CLAN - with EVERYTHING AT RISK!

>>>This will be a first to win 3 maps contest.

>>>The settings will be all disabled - No race, upgrades, boosts, etc. allowed. Everything disabled.

>>>These will be XXL Full Maps - HC Mode + Borders

>>>1v1 - Clan Leader vs Clan Leader

So: Who is fighting this CLAN vs CLAN war?

ThatsMyBoy will represent my clan and the opponent will be whoever accepts the challenge first from any other active clan (agreeing to all terms). You MUST be THE CLAN LEADER to accept this challenge.

Whoever wins 3 maps first will OWN the other clan.

There is one condition: The ownership will ONLY be for 24 hours. At the end of the 24 hours - all clan ownership goes back to the original owner.

NO changes will be made to the losing clan - with one exception.

On the losing clan's thread - On the front page - the page owner will temporarily (just for the 24 hours) - change the Clan Leader name to show the winner AND will change the name of the Clan to add (Owned by XXXXX) for the 24 hour period.

At the end of the 24 hours - EVERYTHING goes back to the way it was - No permanent damage done.

So: Which Clan Leader is willing to put EVERYTHING at risk (just for 24 hours)?

I know what you will say, and I am just trying to rationalize this in my mind. At the time I really was hoping to win the clan war and become the Clan Leader of MS for a day. I tried my best to win. No complaints from me - the computer randomizer wanted you to be first on every map.

Well....Here I am, just a day away from the end of Vortex Wars for me.

This has been a second home for me for over two years now. I know that I will miss both the game and the forum. Vortex Wars has consumed a significant portion of my day, every day, during this time compared to most things that aren't work or sleep. As I now prepare to move on I wanted to thank Lopdo for creating this addicting game. I came here initially because Risk was my favorite computer game and Vortex Wars took it far beyond any other Risk game. I found this game by accident one day when I was on http://www.fog.com (FOG = Free Online Games) and I saw the new beta version game there, well before 1.0 came out. I got hooked right away and have been here ever since.

It was some time later that I even looked at the forum, later registered here and have enjoyed the community ever since. There have been some "dark times" (L-Word and a few others in particular, and several fights) but that is somewhat to be expected in a large family such as this with some very strong personalities.

I wish everyone well and the best in the game and in life.

Tomorrow I will go through my PMs, make one more post from my other accounts on this thread, play my final game, and then one last post from BeatlesFan as I say goodbye on this thread.
