Lower Rank Player Advantage?

Lopdo what advantages are given to a lower ranked player attacking a higher ranked player? I consistently lose to lower ranked players
especially when they attack with a smaller territory and lose when attacking with them with a larger territory. They attack 3 on 5, 3 on 6,
2 on 3 and win even when I have shields on. Does not matter what race I or they use, however the results are so consistent that it is not a
statistical anomaly. It's like they have natives and terminators combined when playing a higher ranked player.

I don't choose game with lower rank players, they join the one I'm in.

None, you're just either very unlucky, or biased in your observations. Out of curiosity, what rank are you? If you want, I'll play a game with you next time I'm on to prove my point.

Do the stats indicate I am outside of the mean? How did you code the RNG? You seem to be pretty confident in your answer so I assume you have 1st hand knowledge of the code and access to Lopdo's stats. I know he does.

Thanks in advance

its psychological proven that humans notice things that are surprising and try to connect them to something. I'm sure you had many games where it was regular but you dind't notice it as much as when you got unlucky and really noticed it, you feel more unlucky then you really are

Empirical data overrules psychology.

Lopdo should be around sometime to give you an answer. Tech should be able to be able to give you an accurate answer as well, as he has fairly extensive knowledge of Lopdo's coding. Though I still stand by my original statement, and am willing to bet that all the forum regulars will as well.

I do have some stats, but not as detailed as you probably might think. I could only check if you lose battles more often than you should, but I can't filter them based on rank you are playing against.

There is nothing that would put anyone in the advantage except for the race bonuses, doesn't matter if you are guest, low/high rank or premium user. Everybody have same chance. From what I can tell, it is either confirmation bias or some statistical anomaly, probably some combination of both. I am using standard C# random generator.

On the related note, I read article about randomness couple weeks ago and scientist found out that when people are presented by two groups of numbers, one picked at random either by throwing die or using RNG and other one created by human, they often pick wrong group when asked to picked one that seem more random to them. People expect uniformity even in randomness, but that simple doesn't happen. You can have really bad luck sometimes as I could testify from my own experience, playing desktop games with my friends :)

I read about how with the iPod shuffle they had to make the RNG worse to make people think it was more random when really it was less random.

I thought that shuffle was trying to pick songs with similar BPM, not that it was supposed to be completely random
