how is exp determined

how is experience determined
particularly how is it determined for 2nd 3rd and 4th etc players
the reason i ask is because im curious if getting second is better than taking a draw

Second is better than draw in games with more players. XP is determined by your rank in the game and by the number of territories you conquer. It is as follows:
1 XP for a territory conquered
+1 XP for a territory conquered by a lower troop count (i.e. 5 v 6 and you win)
Performance XP determined by 5*n-5*(r-1), where n=number of starting players and r=rank when you die (or if you win you are rank 1).
I think for full map and everyone surrenders before the end of everyone's first turn you get # of territories of map/2 XP.
