It's come to my attention that an individual on this forum received a lengthy ban as opposed to a permanent ban.
From my understanding it is due to making a comment that a moderator didn't take kindly to.
Now, having been a moderator for a much larger and much more rowdy group of gamers before, I understand having players that rub you the wrong way, but I also understand that you need a thick skin to be a moderator, it's about the rules, not your personal biased towards any particular individual.
I don't care if said individual is skirting the rules and trying to get a rise out of you or what, thats part of the job, no power trips, no drama, you need to sit down and decide if an individual is actually breaking the rules or if you simply don't get along with them, if you are feeling emotional, then you need to take a step back before making a decision.
That being said, this is a fairly small game, people are doing whatever in the forums, clans are pointless, the drama and power trip nonsense is utterly silly, these are just forums, not the game, which I might add if mods are finding themselves with enough time on their hands for petty squabbles, then I might suggest they do something for the game itself, such as promote it, talk to administration and get it re uploaded to armor games so it gets more attention. maybe see if it can be ported to facebook.
I don't have anything against any of the mods, but I do have a big problem with behavior such as this, I think being a moderator is a responsibility that should be taken seriously (not too seriously) and certainly some consideration should be given to age and maturity levels when it comes to a moderator, and an eye kept on them as well to some degree, because it changes people, not always for the good, which can affect a playerbase, even the game itself.
That being said I feel perhaps moderation ought to be split between game mods and forum mods. If that isn't seen as a big concern due to low playerbase, then DO something about it.
