I can't recall clearly, but wasn't 1v1 where you could have this situation?:
  • 8vs4.
  • Fight once.
  • It becomes 7v4.
  • You press again to fight.
  • It becomes 7v3 and so on.
I mean you could do much better than just give away ALL of your troops. Logics say that if you lose 6 times in a row, doubtfully you'll want to continue the attack, leaving none of the troops behind to defend.

If I'm recalling it badly, then whatever, I probably dreamed about this when playing before sleep.

yes exactly...but Lopdo, his method sounds good, it should be implemented as to a fact you can choose to retreat or keep attacking, it is a very good strategy based idea and would make the game alot less luck based :) and alot more like risk.

Hence in risk you can choose to retreat.
