I have all the premium additions except for golden name but I never purchased a premium for a long time.

Quit the lobby and rejoin it. It's a known bug.

How can you tell? The alien race is kept either way so that is not a bug... if it's xp you should count again.

What do you mean? To me it is... and I have been told it's should be that way. Not the double xp but the alien race.

Not when i got a week before i went lifetime, it stayed a day after an then the race background went

This is correct, I only buy week/month premium and it dissappears after it expires.

Get it permanently then
