From experience so far I don't think that the Natives Race bonus has any effect in 1vs1q

Easy to check. The native bonus only applies to 1s. So if bonus works you only need to see a 1 roll 2 in 1v1q. I think that if I got 1v1 q right.

Nope, the rolls at the top show how many men you've lost, and as the natives have a temporary unit it only shows you as 1 0 when you lose.
