hey,

lately i notice i lose way to much as a arachnides vs reptiles. when it is an equall fight it should be 50/50. But it seems more like when i have 4 and he 3 it is 50/50.

Can there be checked if in fight the arachnides boost isnt working but only the reptile boost.

I always use reptiles.

It probably has to do with random luck, nothing real. Or a race disabled game. Since it has spawn bonus too, play a game with arachnids and check to see if it works.

I'm getting sodgiers they will pwn the other 2 in my world

i only play arachnides. but its just getting weird... i already ask in Features to make a recount of all made rolls so you can see with statistics if you just had bad luck or played stupid.

Not to say you're wrong, but 5 percent bonus isn't much.

i know it isnt much. but it can make a 5 count as a 6. non boosted 5v5 = 50/50 chance. arachnides vs reptiles and boosts wont matter. so still 50/50

i dont know if im turning insane or something. but i am just wondering. i lose a lot of fights against reptiles only (10 times fighting equall fights and lose them all) and that in almoste every game.

Lets hope for a rolling recount/statistic in next update;)

put it this way reptiles has 5% defense
and arachnids don't have any +defense
so arachnids tends to lose more when defending
it's like tensegravz says it's better to have defense than more attack

Actully the 5% defence vs 5% attack results in the defence getting more of an effect than the attack; this is because of ties and in 5 vs 4's as you say, Reptiles chances of winning increase slightly. I'm not sure exactly what the best way to describe it is but think of it as this; the face value of 5% is how much it increases you attack/defence, not your chance of winning. Reptiles 5% increases chance of winning more than arachnids 5%.

hmm okay to try and explain...

5 vs 4, some of the higher than avarage rolls of reptiles get boosted to equal arachnids lower than avarage rolls, making them equal, but if it's the other way around then those draws will count as losses making little difference. Good explenation?
