Luck or glitchy rolls

While I was playing, we were down to 1 v 1. Then until, the other guy had some strange rolls. I was the (attacker 8) and he was the (defender 6) he rolled a 28, I rolled a 26. BUT mine went ALL THE WAY DOWN TO 1 and he STILL had 6. With that close of rolls, I think 6 should have decreased because the rolls were very close. Same thing happened again, We both had 8's I was the attacker and he was the defender, I rolled a 17 and he rolled a 18. Mine dropped ALL THE WAY DOWN TO 1. And his 8 only dropped down to 7. Which I thought was bizar! Then he was the attacker and I was the defender, I had a 3 and he had a 5, I rolled a 12 and he rolled a 13. he then captured that land but the weird part was he had 4. The same thing happened every turn. The weird part was that this happened when the new version came out. Today

Sounds to me like you were playing a mode called Hardcore. If you lose on an attack, no matter what you go to 1.

actually, if you read it closely, he says: "We both had 8's I was the attacker and he was the defender, I rolled a 17 and he rolled a 18. Mine dropped ALL THE WAY DOWN TO 1. And his 8 only dropped down to 7."
If he played hardcore, then the opponents 8 should still be an 8, not a 7. That's actually the only part that doesn't seem to fit with hardcore, the rest of his text does fit with hardcore.

You are right, and I did not read carefully.

That case, it is a lucky roll.
Here is one that I saw today. A 5 rolled against an 8, and won, and had a 4 left over. This was attrition, and the attacking 5 took the 8 and did not lose a thing.

Moral of the story: Shit happens.

I believe I read this somewhere before; were you playing with vampire or demon race and was the other person playing pumpkins?

See, the men left after a battle is based off of the original number of the roll, which doesn't include the race bonus. So, your 28/26 situation becomes a 28/25 due to your race bonus. Which the men left still doesn't make much sense until you add the pumpkin's original number. This would make it 29/25. I believe the numbers left after the battle make a lot more sense this way.

Something a little different happened to me i was battling a guy and i had an 8 over a 3 and when i rolled i got 24 and he go 24 2 and i was like WTF and then i did it again against a 2 and i rolled 15 and he got a 15 and when he was attacking i had a 6 over a 2 and he rolled a 16 and i rolled a 15 so i surrendered and quit the game.

Now that, is just impossible. 3x6=18. 18<24. My guess is just that you don't remember, and are guessing, making this post entirely inaccurate.

^The dice are really messed up sometimes. Seriously, you can roll 0s, why couldn't it have bugged and rolled an 8.
