Wolfpack Training

Postby Fangfallen » Tue Aug 27, 2013 5:54 am

I am changing the system for our training, this new system eliminates negative points while also giving better indicators of the Wolves skills. With luck this system will give us an accurate measurement of who our best warriors are. Now, no matter how good the system is it only gets better when more participate and more battles are made, this gives me more data to better evaluate each and every one of you. For those of you who decide you still liked the old system better, I have sent it to myself in a PM, I can always bring it back.

The system.
Spoiler: show
There is now no way you can have a negative amount of points.
The new system works like this:

1st gets 1 point less than the number of people in the match.
2nd gets 2 points less than the number of people in the match.
3rd gets 3 points less than the number of people in the match.
4th gets 4 points less than the number of people in the match.
5th gets 5 points less than the number of people in the match.
6th gets 6 points less than the number of people in the match.
7th gets 7 points less than the number of people in the match.
8th gets 8 points less than the number of people in the match.

The designated hosts may host battles with any number of people in them, though I prefer 4 player minimum matches to be made.

This system makes it so that the winner is rewarded based off of the number of people in the match, so it is much more rewarding to place high in an 8 player match than in a three player match. Last place in any match earns 0 points, this prevents them from being in the negative.

One may argue that the more and more matches we make the higher the number gets and it may just seem useless, this is why their will be another number which you may measure your skill by: The Power Rating.

Basically the Power Rating is the percentage of points you hold, the higher you get this number the more ranks/titles that will be bestowed upon you. I may talk with Autumn about giving the highest skill level Wolves some type of reward.. don't count on it as I don't even know what that would be.

I vote for the weekday trainings to take place between 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM on the Wolfclock.

And by WolfClock you mean whenever we get on? Because with our time skills, that's just not a good brand name.

Yep, please use this as official time clock. If we can set up a set schedule for things like this it will benefit us greatly.

I voted yes to my ability to join your matches, because you all have never turned me down yet. :)

Sorry for messing up the poll data. ;)

That would be up to the Host and Trainer of that match. I'm a Ref/Host, I'm not sure if I'm "good" enough to act as Trainer.
