Clans created before February of 2012. Generally forgotten, or even lost. (Hence the name.) Only one clan from this era remains known. The Rebbel Alliance.

EARLY FIRST ERA:

From February 4 - March 2 2012, many new clans sprouted. The Rebel Republic was anew, WC sprung up, the Renegades were formed, ace changed the name of his clan several times, and clans became a popular thing. Many of these clans lasted through to the First era and beyond. Though some are lost, many can still be found in the back pages of the Clans forum.

FIRST ERA:

These clans, created from March 16 - June 28 2012, were not the best. None survived very long. In fact, most were dead by the end of this era. This is also the period in which leviathan got some heat for changed the name of his clan 5 times before joining GoG. Most of the leaders from cans made in this era are inactive.

SECOND ERA:

August 23 - November 7 2012, another boom in clan creation. This time, much like the first era, many do not even survive past the end of this era, but a couple do. During this time, the Renegades are back, the second WC page is made, the OOS, the 4 Riders, and the Wolfpack are created.

THIRD ERA:

Clans no longer spring up in clumps from November 30 of 2012 - September 2013. This period spanned the creation of the UN, the Vor-Tourney, the Vortex Wars Council, and many other clan related topics. In this time, many of the clans you see today were created. Military Soldiers and Knights of the Roundtable. Also, many leaderships were passed down during this time as well. The third WC page was made, and the second 4R and Planet of the Bears pages were created. Just as every other era, most clans do not survive to see a new era. Unfortunately, some of these clans include Army of Angels, SPUD, Poseidon's Trident, and others.

FOURTH ERA:

September 15 2013 - May 2014. New leaders rise. Leaderships of KOTRT was passed to Karen219, WC voted for new leader before forming a triumvirate at the end of the era, and the history of the OOS is revealed before ending operations. A chaotic period in which clans see a major decline in recruitment.

July 6 2014 - Present. The longest period, and the deepest drought. WC, one of the longest running clans, surprising collapses and VW as a whole is rapidly losing its player base. Clans struggle as they attempt to consolidate their ranks. Will VW 3 lead to a renaissance, or will this go down in history as the final era of clans?

Not all clans failed , some had other demands on there personnel life so had to relinquish there command due to unforeseen circumstances.Not every clan had anyone wishing to carry out that commitment.
